During the great lockdown of 2020 for the Covid19 pandemic, we sprang into action in May 2020 to look for ways we could help our frontline medical workers.  Reports were rife with stories of how even nurses and medical personnel didn't have enough masks, or how the masks were uncomfortable for long periods, and didn't fit all head sizes properly.  We found templates for "ear savers" that are flexible and allow for masks to be hooked to various tightness levels, and decided that this could be one way to help by using our 3D printer to print out ear savers and donate them to an organization called Bay Area Cotton Masks that had been formed to make and donate PPEs to frontline workers.
